Test your superpowers during HIITLab 60-minute session – a smart and efficient Functional Training workout. With High Intensity Interval Training, you get a full body workout with exercises that always vary, all while strengthening your heart, burning calories and building muscle. Multi-planar and multi-joint movements place a much needed demand on the body’s core musculature. Movements through every plane of motion are essential, as biologically we have evolved to move in multiple directions. These basic principles are applied to all of our classes, which are highly focused on proper posture. No class is exactly the same, so expect to have fun and want to return! This 60 minute class is designed to your needs and focuses on maintaining, recovering and or building good posture. It’s all about moving as you were naturally designed to do so. With cardio intervals based on your level, this class will challenge you mainly with Stability Training, Functional Training, Pilates and Barre based exercises with a twist of Natural Movement. Building muscle memory is imperative for correcting your posture – one of the best benefits from this class, not to mention the added muscle strength you’ll begin to notice! Pre – Natal – We will work together to increase your energy, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and posture in order to minimize the discomforts often associated with a growing belly (baby) and to help prepare your mind and body for labour and delivery, and those first weeks at home after the baby is born. With your doctor’s consent you are able to continue your current fitness regimen, based on the intensity you had performed prior to becoming pregnant. Depending on that, we will maintain or reduce your workouts to a more moderate level to accommodate you and your baby during this special time. We follow the exercise guidelines outlined by the ACOG-American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and as with all our classes, function and posture are always a priority.
